The softest handspun merino wool and handpainted tussah in shades of bitter orange, bronze, pewter, gold and orchid are woven into a lightweight fabric with a silky drape and subtle color gradations. Plain weave shows off the iridescence to best advantage, while colorful twill sections on either end add complexity to this unique textile.

Please care for your scarf by soaking in cool water with a little Eucalan, Soak or other gentle fiber wash. Do not rinse. Lay flat to dry. When your scarf is completely dry, give it a few firm snaps, and steam press if desired.
m.m. handwovens are slowly and lovingly crafted in my smoke-free studio, incorporating handspun fibers and handpainted yarns. A textile may contain small slubs, color irregularities or textural inconsistencies that in no way diminish the quality of the item--these are characteristic of the creative process that makes each piece unique.
