No stock photos here...the classic tear-drop pick shown is the actual pick you will receive. Precision laser engraved on each side of the pick with a star in a circle design.
This premium handcrafted guitar pick was shaped & sanded independently, it features a concave thumb groove on each side to ensure a firm grip, & to also give the pick an incredible feel of control. This pick measures approx. 1-1/4” or 32 mm long X 1" or 25 mm wide, it is about 3 mm thick at the thickest part of the pick, but feels & plays thinner due to the thumb grooves & laser engraving on each side, the pick tapers down to about 1 mm at the attack end & was designed with the guitarist in mind for comfort, control, & playability, it is treated with a special oil blend, for lasting protection I let the pick soak in the oil to ensure that the pick is deeply penetrated, I then apply a natural bees wax paste & hand rub the pick for a smooth & silky finish, & if you perspire or moisten your finger tips, it will actually improve your grip. For some guitarists it may take a while to get used to playing with a wooden pick, but every guitar player that I know, simply can't live without their hardwood guitar picks. So why not take your playing to new highs with the true tones that my handmade Artisan wood picks employ! This custom wood pick would also make an excellent gift! Thanks for looking!
HONDURAN ROSEWOOD - Dalbergia Stevensonii
The tree is native to Belize and or Central America
This true rosewood is just beautiful, as is the case with most genuine rosewoods, the heartwood is pinkish to purple-brown in color, with irregular black markings, & can range from a deep brownish-purple to a light-brown, most common is a brownish-mauve color. It is mostly straight grained with a medium to fine texture. Like most true rosewoods, Honduran Rosewood has natural oils that give it excellent resistance to decay. Turns well and finishes smoothly with a good polish. Being hard and dense, it has a somewhat glassy (resonant) tone when tapped with a hard object, making it well-suited for acoustic guitars, xylophone keys, and other acoustic musical instruments.
