Short Story Long:
I can only hope that I age as well as this Hamadan. At 50 years + of age, it is still going strong. The pile is in great condition with no low spots, and the rug has a warm and inviting patina. The bindings and fringes are also original.
What makes this rug so great is its color scheme. The faded reds and rose colors give it an almost monochromatic zen-like calm, but the bits of blue/black and ivory give it some interest. This rug would be perfect in a study or den, but it is also durable enough for a front foyer. Pick this rug up now for this low price, and in about 25 years time, it will be a super expensive antique. Enjoy!
