Unarguably, the author of The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings changed the landscape of fantasy forever.

The Silmarillion was published in 1977 by his son after Tolkien passed, and tells the legends of Ea, Numenor, and Middle Earth. It is far and away the most amazing example of how whole worlds and histories can live in the mind of one person, and I am so grateful that he decided to share those stories with us. This copy is from 1977, and is in very good shape, a gorgeous but faded jade cloth-bound book. The book has a faded red top-stain (the top edges of the pages are reddish).

The charging cord is well secured into the book, and it's designed to be compatible with all iPods and iPhones (iPhone 3G, 3GS & iPhone 4G), it accommodates sync and charge functions via a USB cable, wall connector is not included.

The charger is a solid unit.
