Inspired by the rustic elegance and well-worn history of Tuscany, this hand painted, solid hardwood step stool is ready to give you a little boost wherever you might need it! Although it is brand new and sturdily constructed, the hand distressing gives this piece a comfortably worn look--the stool looks as though layers of soft gold and antique white paint are slowly being worn away to reveal the dark wood underneath. The sides are adorned with a hand painted fruit-and-grape-leaf motif that appear carved right into the wood. A vivid red cloth with a green and gold vine pattern drapes artfully on the top step, its folds so realistically rendered it just might fool you! Lovely and useful, this is an accent piece to treasure for years.
Commissioned by a client for use as a kitchen stool, it can be customized just for you-each piece is one of a kind and made to order. I use only non toxic acrylic paints, and the entire piece has been sealed with 5 layers of non toxic polyurethane for durability and easy clean up.
