More than a few cardiac surgeons, nurses and heart specialists have told me how spot-on my Anatomical Heart pendants are - if it's small, anatomically perfect and beautifully made you're looking for, you may well just have found it.
It took a long, long time to get this heart right and I wanted to make sure that no details were lost despite this heart's tiny size. Every artery, atrium, valve and ventricle is captured in this beautiful pendant, and being cast from solid bronze it had a great weight to it too. The heart hangs from a well-proportioned jump ring, and I've hung this heart on a 24" gunmetal chain.
Like all my jewelry, this heart is completely hand carved, cast in the finest white bronze and finished entirely by hand. Once polished, the heart is thickly plated in silver, and finally a special process applied to give the heart a great aged look.
It's one of the finest pieces of jewelry I've ever made and a real pleasure to (finally!) offer it in my shop. And that last picture? I don't usually include much in my photos other than the jewelry, but this heart really is smaller that a 1 cent coin.
That's one small heart indeed.
