Inspired by tiny wren like birds visiting my garden to feast on the blackberries. With one little bird fitting inside the other, it became about the people who come into our lives... some stay, others move on, leave, pass away... but a part of them always remains with us.

Materials
Needle felt base from pure Tasmanian wool, hand washed and carded by me. Topped with shades of plum and lilac.
Hand embroidered details in stranded cotton and gold seed beads, stitched in
Silver brooch bar on back - stitched in ( approx 3.3cm long)
Metallic gold thread around eyes, with small white seed bead stitched in
Birds backed with a medium tone lilac felt and stitched closed
Size : Approx 7cm from head to tail of largest "Mother Bird"
Approx 6cm from the top of "Baby Bird's" head to base of "Mother Bird"
Approx 1cm thick
Presented on a hand stamped, recycled card backing.
