They are made with the same hand dyed 100% silk as the single layered cloths I dye...and they are stitched together by my friend and co-worker Faeriegood.
A lovely gift for a Tarot reader :)
Traditionally, Tarot Cards are wrapped in a silk cloth while not in use.
This silk cloth is then spread over the reading area before the cards are used.
The silk will help to keep the energy clear in and around your cards...as well as keeping them clean when you lay out a spread.
Silk has been used traditionally for laying out under, and for wrapping, most Divination tools...such as Scrying Bowls, Scrying Mirrors, Crystal Balls...and many others.
I have been hand dying silk cloths for tarot for many years. We have made these tarot silks 26"x26". This is large enough for laying out most spreads, and will easily wrap any deck.
I used fiber reactive dyes which will not bleed onto your cards or other fabrics. They may be washed by hand with a very mild soap, rinse very well, and lay flat to dry. It is alright to toss them into a dryer for a few minutes to loosen and soften the fibers if you feel to.
This listing is for One Hand Dyed and Stitched Reversible Black/Purple Silk, tarot cards and other props are not included.
The Silk Reversible Black/Purple Card Bag is sold separately here...
Though I have listed the Set at a slightly lower cost here if you would like both :)
Before they are sent to you, they are cleansed in the ways I was taught by my great grandmother.
