This listing is for one gorgeous butterfly hairstick/shawl pin,made from a truly elegant wood,called bloodwood.
The piece of wood Bob made this from is not, technically,reclaimed,because it has never been made into anything else. The wood came from a environmentally responsible seller,who,in turn,buys from forest council certified sources.
The butterfly at the top, and the rest of this hairstick is cut from one piece of wood. Then,Bob hand sands them with increasingly fine grades of sandpaper. When he is finished,the wood is smooth as silk,and it needs no stains or dyes to be gorgeous. So,he rubs in a gel varnish and some George's Clubhouse wax,to protect it from the elements. Then it is ready for you!
This hair stick/shawl pin is 7 inches(177.8mm)long,and the butterfly is 1.5 1nch(38.1mm) in diameter.
