This set is part of the Arti Stamp Series, Set No. 40 manufactured by Fulton Specialy Co., Elizabeth, NJ. The box has great graphics, but unfortunately someone put a price sticker on the front that when removed took part of the box with it. Otherwise, the box shows wear, but is intact. It is hard dating this item, as I found an ad from 1910 selling the artistamp series and also found ads from the 30's but the set numbers were much higher, between 500-800. As this has a low number of 40, I assume it's earlier than that. Inside there are five stamps, a circus wagon, a clown, a horse, a lion and what looks like a trapeze artist, a tin dri-kwik stamp pad and a little tablet which has stamps in it. All and all, it's in pretty good condition for its age and the fact that it was for kids.
