A terrific pair of vintage field glasses/binoculars. The metal body is covered in black leather, with glass lenses that are dirty inside. These glasses are marked in several places: the viewing lenses (where you place you eyes) say CHAMPIERE PARIS; between the large viewing lenses they are marked in the metal “Déposé”; and when you focus and extend the lenses, one is marked ARMY and the other LONG RANGE; and the bar in the middle is numbered 1 through 12 and is also marked “8 LENSES” which might mean 8x power, but we can’t say for sure. When extended, these glasses stand 6 3/8” tall and are great to display. The second and third photos show the glass extended and not extended. No lens caps, neck strap or case. Displays wonderfully, also a great prop. We are guessing these are from either WWI or WWII, but this is just a guess.
