This sweet toy does not have any remaining tags - she may be a Steiff or Hermann cat from the 1950s.
It looks like this toy used to have sleepy eyelashes glued to her face; they are no longer there, but I can feel dry glue lines where the eyes would have been, with faint black coloring. Her fur is soft and sleek; I am not sure whether it is mohair or another vintage material. There are wires inside the kitty's ears to help them hold their shape.
This beautifully made little toy is full of vintage character; she has lots of life in her still, and would make a wonderful addition to your collection.

This toy measures 14 inches long from the tip of the forepaw to the tip of the tail. It weighs 134 grams.
This kitty's most serious cosmetic flaw are her missing eyes/eyelashes (though you may actually enjoy this touch of shabby sweetness -- and if not, perhaps you can add replacements!). The whiskers are a little crinkled/kinked. I can see three places (belly, leg, and side) where it looks like the seams have been reinforced with a few stitches. There is a little hole the size of a pin head at the top of the cat's head.
The cat is firmly stuffed with soft stuffing in the torso and limbs, and with crunchy wood stuffing in the head and tail. The stuffing has kept its shape very nicely and there are no leaks.
The fabric is quite clean, with no stains and good fur coverage. There are a few small rubs/thin patches at the tip of the tail, the ears, and the cat's side (the curved area just behind her feet). The toy has no bad odors.
All in all this is still a very cute toy that displays well!
