I make everything in my studio from copper wire and copper sheet. These earrings are made from flattened copper wire that I cut, composed, and soldered into place. The black finish is chemically induced and sealed with a lacquer for resilience.

I love curved corners, concentric triangles and using angles to create interesting structures. Lately I have been interested in seeing where combining 45 degree and 90 degree angles can take me. These have an art deco feel to them, which I have been drawn towards for the last couple of years as I look at blue prints of bridges, buildings and airplanes for inspiration. In addition to the art deco movement, the design of these earrings specifically emerged from my recent fascination with embellished exterior slatting on tudor style houses. ex: decorative half timbering
