My whimsical depiction of a lion fish on my hand thrown, red earthenware clay ceramic pottery bowl in stripes of lime green and light rose red punctuated with small dots of turquoise blue and black is a delight to use! A pair of bright red lips on the fish add to the whimsy.

The background and outside of the bowl is in shades of cool, watery aqua greens, turquoise blue with hints of purple, bordered with bold cobalt blue.

SIZE: 6" x 3" (15.5 cm x 8 cm)

Great size to eat cereal from--(especially that growing young fisher-man!), this would be a fine gift for a fish lover!

Glazed with a non-toxic majolica glaze, my bowl is food safe, can be put in the microwave for short warm ups and placed on the top rack of the dishwasher.

Each of my pieces are individually created and is as unique as the person holding it.

All pottery from Clay Lick Creek Pottery is handmade by me in Makanda, IL, using an electric wheel or a slab roller. I use a traditional red earthenware clay for my pottery. Bottoms are trimmed to create a foot ring and are signed and dated. After trimming and drying, I fire in the kiln to cone 04 to bisque it. Afterwards, I dip the pottery into homemade majolica glaze, which is the opaque white background glaze, then I use a brush to paint ceramic colorants onto the raw glaze surface. Then back into the kiln again to cone 05 to seal the glaze surface. Pieces can be used in the microwave for quick warm ups (unless noted) and top rack of the dishwasher (unless noted). All orders ship USPS Priority (2-3 business days) or Parcel Post (2-9 business days) -- and I usually ship same day or next business day.

I'm open to custom orders. For more details, check out my Shop Policies link or Convo me for more information.

If this is a gift and you'd like me to include a card with the package, let me know the wording in the notes to seller at check out.

Happy shopping!
