Labels: Ann Klein Lion Head tag is visible but has frayed, see photo.
There is a Tag on the top and the skirt, it is printed with a number 10, the size?
This is a family owned outfit so I am sure of the authenticity of the label.
1960's Ann Klein top and skirt is knitted with a nubby cream colored yarn. Yarn type is unknown as there is no material content tag. I am guessing it is a cotton combination yarn. There is a lot of body in the yarn, it stretches and bounces back. The knitted rib changes from 1x1 rib to 2x2 rib for design, snug fit, and maximum stretch. The top and skirt are in excellent condition.
The outfit will fit up to a modern size 8. The fit should be more like what it was supposed to look like back in the 1960's, a slim line look, sleek and trim. The elastic waistband is stretchy and is in terrific condition.
Photographed on a human body as well as a mannequin. Photography on a human form was necessary to show the shape of the skirt. Dress stand is not long enough for the length of the skirt creating a sharp pulling in above the hem. The skirt reaches about 3-4 inches above the knee on a 5' 10" model. A nice length for a mini skirt, not extremely short. Where it sits on your body depends on your height and girth of course.
• Skirt length 20.25 inches
• Elastic waistband
• Skirt circumference at waist 24 inches at hem 31 inches
• Pocket 3.5 inches high x 3 inches wide
• Top length 26.5 inches
• Top width 30 inches circumference, measured at just under armhole
• Armhole opening 20 inches, measured around
