This amazing little gadget is so well made, and a stroke of genius. The string is fully intact, and clean. Its wonderful green paint is in good condition, with some wear, particularly at the screw holes. The metal handle has some minor surface rust. The handle brake moves easily and is fully functional. A 60 year old tool that is so clever and well made, that it is still relevant.
