About the 1776 HATS:
My profession outside of crafting is as a Costume Attendant and Dresser in theatre. The most recent show I worked on was 1776 at the Historic Ford's Theater. Whereas the show itself broke records for the theater, each one of the actors only wore one costume, and with no quick changes during the performances (just the occasional button to re-attach) it left the dressers working backstage with very little to occupy our time. I decided, as a dedicated crafter, to spend my time crocheting hats. On average, I finished one hat during each performance, leaving me with a grand total of 86 hats!!! Many were sold to those working in the theater, and some were given away as gifts. The remaining hats are here in my store! Enjoy!
