This is a very special piece - very historically interesting, and also very sentimental! In the mid-to-late 1800s, it was a common practice to give one's lover (or sometimes mother) a "love token" made by engraving the reverse side of a silver dollar or dime with his/her initials. It was a very sweet way of letting someone know they had your love and support, and it was a practice and tradition that lasted for decades before slipping into obscurity. This particular bracelet is made up of 17 different silver coins (15 Seated Liberty dollars, and 2 Barber dimes), and is one of the nicest examples of a love token bracelet that we've ever seen. It presents a rare opportunity to have a very tangible piece of the American past - and an adorable memento at that! It would fit a 6 to 6 1/2 inch wrist.
Condition: Very good - definitely worn in the past, it has a very nice patina.
