narrow hem and elastic waistband. Ribbon or fabric ties
on the sides can be ruched to your desired look~ very
short or just cinched a bit. These shorts are adorable on
girls of all ages and can be made in less than a hour and
with very little fabric.
These shorts are very simple to make. Great for beginners and advanced seamstresses, and especially for people sewing for a living. These are very cost effective. They require little supplies and pack a lot of punch!
Materials needed:
Suitable for woven cotton fabrics and stable knit fabrics including, but not
limited to: quilters cotton, seersucker, lightweight twill, lightweight denim, baby
wale corduroy, pique and jersey.
You will need 1/2- 2/3 yards
• ¾ inch elastic
• 2 yards- 3/8 inch grossgrain ribbon {plain colored or double sided works best}
• Matching thread
