A summer staple for American women for almost three decades, the Etienne Aigner leather thong sandal in its signature oxblood color and with its distinctive brass A front and center became a rite unto itself for the girls of summer. Opening the box, inhaling the fresh leather, crunching the swathe of tissue paper, and breaking them in starting in June until they fit your feet perfectly by the 4th-mothers, daughters, coeds, belles, Nantucket and California girls all polished toes and worked tans to look summer fresh in these classics.
This pair is size 8 and most probably dates from the late 70s or early 80s. These sandals show very little wear to sole or heel and were at best estimate worn little since there is no trace of a wear pattern. Shiny A's as well as brass strap buckles accent the rich burgundy leather. No stretching of the 7 buckle holes on straps. They measure 3 5/8" at widest point and 2 5/8" at narrowest point.
