This polygon-sided pressed glass salt cellar was used during the early to mid 20th century and was placed at a table setting in wealthier homes. Little glass or silver spoons used to accompany these and have been lost over the years. I created a wonderful vintage button lid for this salt cellar out of vintage buttons and notions. The base button is a shimmery clear-white. A very interesting and unique blue and gray celluloid button domes to a plateau under a button stud, which is silver and has a blue rhinestone. This button stud makes the perfect little handle for the lid. Another mother of pearl button is placed under the lid to keep it in place. Now the salt cellar is a sweet little resting place for your rings, earrings, a fine chain necklace, or any small precious item!
Ring box measures about 1 3/4" in diameter and about 2" tall with lid. Opening is about 1" in diameter with about 1/2" depth. This one is best for skinny rings like the ones pictured.
Enjoy a one of a kind item that is impossible for me to recreate!
