This is an original charcoal drawing of the Greek island of Thera, now called Santorini, which held an ancient Minoian civilization that was destroyed by a volcano in the center of the island. This civilization is thought to be one of the bases of the ancient city of Atlantis.
This is an original drawing, not a print. It was drawn on artists quality paper. It comes to you already mated in a grey circle bevel cut mat using archival mating techniques. This means that the mat board and backing material is non toxic and will not damage the piece over time. It has been spayed with a archival fixative spay so the charcoal will not smudge when touched. It will arrive inside of an archival plastic bag which will protect the piece during shipping and until it is framed.
