very good vintage condition. written by wilbur t. gracey, edited by katherine britton, published by albert whitman, chicago, 1941. cover design by carl shaffer, illustrations by herbert j. palmer both of the pennsylvania art project. red clothbound hardcover with impressed title and illustration on front cover. no dust jacket. no indication of later printings. some wear to cover, previous price in color pencil on inside front cover. pages clean, color illustrations bright, binding tight and sound. a beautiful piece of american history.
