This authentic 1940's navy bridge coat is in pristine condition. Tailored from a thick and durable wool that makes modern navy coats pale in comparison! This is the real deal and constructed to last. Color is a traditional, dark navy blue with a navy blue satin lining. Double breasted closure with two rows of shiny gold buttons; two buttons at back as well. Side pockets with extra slit for hands to slip through to access suit worn underneath, and inner chest pocket. Wide lapel that can be buttoned over at neck for extra warmth. Single vent with buttons at back. Bridge coats are styled in the same vein as the more common pea coat except they are full length and worn exclusively by naval officers. Very special!

made by: Naval Uniform Shop, Brooklyn NY
condition: Excellent, missing the original extra liner that could zip in for an additional layer - this coat is VERY warm without it regardless, and it does not detract from look or wear.
