The Helen Dress Pattern for 18-inch dolls has row after row of beaded smocking. It is smocked in the front only and the back bodice comes down to the last row of smocking. The gathered sleeves are embellished with ribbon striped with organdy and satin. The dress fabric is cut out from behind the ribbon so that you are able to see through the organdy.
The Kaela Dress Pattern is smocked with a design that includes two rows of ribbon in the smocking. It is smocked in the front only and the back bodice comes down to the last row of smocking. There are two options for puffed sleeves, one version is tied with ribbons and the other has a band on the bottom of the sleeve. There are two options for smocking, one with the front skirt all from one fabric and one with a smocked insert in a contrasting color.
The Andrea Dress includes a smocking pattern featuring pretty irises peaking out from golden hexagons. The dress has five tucks on the bodice and a tuck on the skirt which forms the hem for the dress. The dress is smocked in the front only and the back bodice comes down to the last row of smocking. The large, over-sized gathered sleeves are edged with lace and three small buttons add the finishing touch to the bodice.
The Stella Dress is actually simple to sew. The technique for putting the elastic in the sleeves is the easiest one I know. The large, oversized sleeves have Rick Rack partly showing on the edge of the hem. The dress is set off with a square neckline and Rick Rack around the bottom edge of the hem. View 1 features smocked apples just under the bodice. The dress is smocked in the front only and the back bodice comes down to the last row of smocking.View 2 the smocking is done on a band to be inserted just under the bodice. The band is set off with piping on the top and bottom.
