A specially made reverse applique cat mola, hand sewn using time honored mola making techniques handed down from Kuna mother to daughter for generations!
This is another in my original, Kuna 'Night Cat' limited edition series featuring a favorite design from the island of Aritupu. So dramatic in a classic color combination found in traditional large molas worn by Kuna women.
Black with a rich turquoise blue base, red accents and a rainbow of vibrant color! The stitchery and applique work is SUPERB! Impeccable applique.. wonderful bas relief..
Check out that face and curly tail! Love those white whiskers! (='.'=)
That 2 layer pink & red tongue & triangle nose are just too good, too!
A fabulous textile in every way. A wonderful addition to any mola collection!
