My love for Paris shines through with this pendant. My happy memories of my travels to Paris is signified by the rich and vivid colors in my original oil painting. Initially, I came up with the concept when I was in art school. We were given a modern art assignment for a marker rendering in an illustration class. Having always thought that the Eiffel Tower looked like a Rapidograph pen, I decided to turn it upside down in the painting and have it spell out Paris in a surreal landscape. The lips signify the love and romance that Paris has been known to bring out in everyones hearts. After finishing the marker rendering I decided that it would make a great oil painting. When graduating from The Art Institute of Pittsburgh I spent countless hours creating the painting and a series was born. There are two other paintings in the series, one is Holland and the third is London, Germany is to follow. Pendants with these images are to come as well.
This is a reproduction of one of my original oil paintings that I embedded in resin. Each pendant is hand cast and hand sanded by me. I hand wrapped and hand coiled the bail with non-tarnishing silver plated copper wire.
Each pendant is on a black pleather cord.
My paintings are registered with the US Copyright Office.
