This is a wonderful vintage California pottery casserole covered dish made in the USA. There is an embossed makers name on the bottom but it very hard to read so I cannot be sure of the brand name. It has the number 100 on the bottom also. This casserole dish is really different. It has a raised floral lid, somewhat like a marigold or large peony in a deep pink rose color. The bottom is tan with brown flecks. There are some scratches inside from utensil use and cleaning. On the underside there is something that could be a hairline but it does not go inside and is hard to tell what it is , could be a scratch and there is the typical vintage crazing on the glaze. Overall, this dish is in good condition. This casserole is 7" across and 2.5"tall without the lid. There are no chips. It makes a great serving dish for fruit or orzo salads on a buffet with the cover on to keep the insects away.
