I use three or more layers of stained glass and dichroic (highly light reflective glass) and fuse them together in several firings to 1600 degrees in my kiln. After the firings are complete, I cold work the pendant using a glass grinder to remove any flaws. I then apply the art which is made of glass enamel and fuse it into the glass at 1600. Usually I repeat the process with a layer of clear glass over the image to add dimension and protect it.
This glass is not fragile! It has been annealed for eight hours in the kiln to harden it. It takes a direct hammer blow to break one.
Your pendant will arrive in a gold box tied with a ribbon, a perfect gift of art to give yourself or a special friend.
The pendant size is 1.25" x 2" with an 18" gold plated chain.
