Vintage 1970s' Harold Kerr Solid Brass Vase, Mid Century. Harold Kerr was a noted Chicago sculptor from a family of at least four generations of metal workers that traces back to Oslo Norway. He has created many large sculptures throuhout the US. This vase has a spherical shape and volcanic brass material around the vase opening and patina color variations in the finish (that looks like they were included in the original design). It is impressed "Kerr" on the bottom.

This item is in excellent vintage condition with very minor blemishes and tarnish to be expected of a used brass item. The overall dimensions are 4" diameter x 3 1/2" high.

NOTE: I sent a email photo to Harold Kerr's son Brian (who is a fourth generation metal sculptor) and he verified that this was indeed his father's work and it probably dates from the 1970's.
