Last week I experimented with using two different colors of stoneware clay, white and brown. I combined the two colors to make some interesting patterns. This bowl has two layers, the outer layer is the mix of the two colors of clay. The upper layer is the white stoneware where I have left a herringbone or chevron texture. I love the natural crackling in the outside of the bowl and have purposely left it as natural as I could. The outside of the bowl is unglazed. On the inside I used a beautiful satiny blue green added a vintage image of an African postage stamp depicting a giraffe. This image actually fires into the glaze and is very permanent.
About 4 inches across.

*feather is a prop and not included.
