A Big Easy stack that evokes New Orleans in its generous charms -- a 19th c. glass doll's eye set in a copper bezel, a black face feve (is it Marie Laveau?), a battered and still beautiful fleur de lis, tattered silks and laces, antique buttons, antique celluloid horse charm, and a collaged wooden bangle covered with a 50 peso bill and holy card. Also a rosy tea cup fragment, and a hand made beaded bangle of pink Cheyenne beads traded back from the bead loving Masai with a patina of African dirt and a Mexican fish milagro. And an assembled charm of antique doll's arm, pink speckled glass bead, and tectite, with a mojo-like quality. Lagniappe is the old custom of adding something extra as good will. This set is a New Orleans dozen: 14 bangles for the price of 12.
Price substantially reduced from original listing for this set, which is the result of hours of skilled work! Time to move on, you see. I cannot, however, offer free shipping on this one.
