This is commercial Dorset Horn top that I've dyed in shades of purple, brown and gold. The purple split in places, some parts are more pink than others. Dorset Horn is a down breed, it's a shortish staple and makes a very bouncy springy yarn. I'd be happy to have a sweater from it but if you are sensitive it might be too woolly for you. I have two identical braids, the price is for one. It appears to be a bit more expensive than my other fibre, that's only because this is 130g in weight rather than 100g.

There is some hay in the fibre, not a lot and it's long and easily picked out.

This is not superwash but I understand that down breeds are somewhat resistant to felting so I wouldn't recommend it for that purpose.

(If you don't understand why purple is a chocolate colour, it's the colour of a certain manufacturer's wrappers)

For UK buyers I'm now working with flat rate postage so the cost is the same whether you buy one item or a small red van full. If you want it to go second class and save yourself 50p please use the "note to seller" to let me know and I'll refund the difference between first and second class.
