Please note that these are not as of yet made from reclaimed wood! We are currently in the process of obtaining FSC certified lumber. Most customers want walnut, which is the one pictured above - walnut is a North American wood, but one of the most expensive and rare on the market. We rarely ever have salvaged walnut. If it is important to you that your arm wrap be made from salvaged wood (we salute you!), please contact us for the current wood options!
:: How we make it and what you are buying ::
This listing is for a couch arm wrap made of solid wood. Scroll down for dimensions. We make each of these wraps custom for your furniture, starting with raw native lumber that we cut and plane and laminate (cabinetmaking term for gluing) into wide surfaces, alternating the grain direction of each strip in order to minimize wood movement and maximize strength. We join the three surfaces, then sand to a satiny 180. We finish them with two applications of zero VOC all natural hard wax oil that is completely safe for us to work with, and completely safe for you and your family - no off-gassing, no chemicals, and instead of sitting on the surface like varnish, which is chemical and obscures the beauty of wood grain, it penetrates the fibers, strengthening the wood from the inside and leaving the silky natural wood surface. Our arm wraps are not screwed, nailed or made with any kind of metal fasteners. They are as beautiful on the inside as they are on the outside, and will not mar your couch whatsoever.

:: Wood options ::
Image 1 shows the wrap in solid walnut on a thick square-arm couch. Image 2 & 3 shows the arm wrap in cherry on a thin armed couch with a side pillow.
Choose a wood from the drop down menu on the right. We do not stain the wood, we leave the natural tone of the solid wood and apply an eco hard wax oil finish.
:: Measurements ::
These are custom made for your couch. Dimensions are as follows, and the measurement we require from you is the width/thickness of your sofa arm. Image 5 illustrates how best to take this measurement - we recommend using two books and a flat ruler to get the most accurate measurement. Be careful not to apply pressure to the couch, thereby condensing any of the upholstery.

:: Eco Finish ::
We use a natural and non toxic finish on all our pieces. It is called hard wax oil and each item receives two coats. Hard wax oil is made up of natural oil, resin and wax and penetrates the wood, strengthening the fibres from within without leaving a film on the surface like varnish. It’s also completely food safe.
:: Caring for your item ::
It is very easy to care for your B&B wrap. Wipe clean with a damp cloth, and a little soap for tough stains. Wipe dry. Never submerge in water.
:: Engraving & Customization ::
This item can be customized with wood burned or stamped text and/or characters - simply buy the woodburning or stamping listing and let us know what you would like engraved.
:: Shipping Methods and Delivery Times ::
As always here at B&B, If the shipping costs end up being less than you paid, we will immediately reimburse the difference via PayPal!
If you are in Canada or the USA, Ottoman Wraps will ship via Expedited Mail using Canada Post, which includes tracking and insurance. Expedited shipping is usually between 2 and 8 business days depending on your proximity to Montreal, Canada. You can upgrade to Xpresspost shipping (faster) using the Rush shipping listing for Canada or the Rush shipping listing for USA.
If you are outside of North America, your item will ship via Air Mail, unless you are in Australia, with $100 coverage. If you would like a tracking number, please contact us for shipping rates.
If you are in Australia, it is $150 for surface (ship) with no insurance or tracking and an average delivery time of 3 months. Xpresspost is the next best option, which is $250 for insurance, tracking and 7 days guaranteed delivery.
