With every pair you purchase, TOMS will give a new pair of shoes to a child in need. One for One.
This listing is for a pair of custom tie dyed TOMS! I have been a tie dye artist full time for almost 6 years now, and thought it was about time to give the VIP treatment to my favorite shoes- TOMS! Since it is impossible to swirl up shoes to make a spiral formation, I will hand paint these babies with my secret formula of fiber reactive dyes (the kind you use for tie dye!) to give you the perfect, and one of a kind shoes! This special set (my best selling, by the way!) features a peace sign on one shoe, and a heart in the other.
Since I use fiber reactive dyes- the color is 100% permanent, and I don't have to put a clear sealer on your shoes (if you have ever tried to break in a pair of hand painted Toms that have been sealed, you know it is not fun!) they will be as soft and comfy as the ones you can buy at your favorite shoe store! I will also treat them with a dye fixative, so that no matter how wet or sweaty they get, you will never have to worry about tie dyed feet!
You know what else makes my shoes AH-mazing? You can pick your colors! So, from the girlie colors you see here, to your favorite schools colors- I have you covered!
*Please allow a 3-4 week production time for your custom TOMS- it takes a little time for the shoes to get to me (because I insist on ONLY buying Toms from reputable companies- never off of Ebay, or any other website that has potential fakes- how embarrassing would that be!?) If you need them faster, please let me know!* Your TOMS will come to you in the original box they came in- which includes the TOMS iconic shoe bag.
**PLEASE ORDER UP A FULL SIZE FROM YOUR NORMAL TOMS SIZE- my dye process shrinks the canvas by 1 size :)**

NOW- for those of you that have never owned a pair- here is some information about what makes TOMS so awesome and amazing-
In 2006, American traveler Blake Mycoskie befriended children in Argentina and found they had no shoes to protect their feet. Wanting to help, he created TOMS Shoes, a company that would match every pair of shoes purchased with a pair of new shoes given to a child in need. One for One. Blake returned to Argentina with a group of family, friends and staff later that year with 10,000 pairs of shoes made possible by TOMS customers.
Why Shoes?
Many children in developing countries grow up barefoot. Whether at play, doing chores or going to school, these children are at risk:
•A leading cause of disease in developing countries is soil-transmitted diseases, which can penetrate the skin through bare feet. Wearing shoes can help prevent these diseases, and the long-term physical and cognitive harm they cause.
•Wearing shoes also prevents feet from getting cuts and sores. Not only are these injuries painful, they also are dangerous when wounds become infected.
•Many times children can't attend school barefoot because shoes are a required part of their uniform. If they don't have shoes, they don't go to school. If they don't receive an education, they don't have the opportunity to realize their potential.
