They have been painted with Annie Sloan Chalk Paint in Paris Grey. It's lightly distressed so some original white metal is showing through.
The taller one is about 13" tall and the smaller one is approx. 9" tall. I'll take measurements and enter tomorrow.
These are charming in almost any room in the house and will work with most decorating styles.
