This is a very old Ronson Art Metal Works De-Light Mastercase combination cigarette case and lighter. Made in Newark, New Jersey from 1933 for almost 20 years. The Mastercase is a combination of a lighter and a cigarette case which holds 14 filterless cigarettes. This one, with the De-Light fitment, is a pre WW II model.
This lighter is shiny chrome with black and white enamel. The engraving plate on the front has been inscribed with the initials "RES". The inside is a two-tone silver color and has 2 spring loaded metal plates to hold the cigarettes in place. The springs are not as strong as they once were.
This lighter is being sold in used condition. As you can see from the pictures it has scratches and scuffs on the enamel from use. It also has one small ding on the back upper left hand side. This truly is a beautiful piece.
This case lighter has a brand new flint, it sparks great, it just needs to be filled with fluid.
A wonderful addition to your collection or as a unique gift.
"There's nothing like a Ronson!" They are built dependable to give you years of faithful lights.
