I perched a teeny, tiny bird on the horn of a waning crescent moon cut from Copprclay metal clay (like PMC). Then I kiln fired them into solid copper.
The moon is polished copper and the little bird is enameled in a warm transparent brown. The enamel is vitreous - it is powdered glass that is kiln-fired until it melts, flows, and then hardens to a smooth, durable coating on the metal. All of the enamels I use are lead free.
Little wren and her moon hang fron a sterling silver ring on 16" sterling silver .9 mm flat drawn cable chain.
This little necklace is handmade and one of a kind. I hope you love it as much as I do!
The enamel truly is a layer of glass. It will crack if bent, dropped or crushed. So please handle with care.
