This is an illustrated zine of Elizabeth JMW's story originally printed in her zine 398.
I found Elizabeth's zine because she bought one of my little cat books, so I bought her zine 398#10 which was all her short stories collected in one zine. They were brilliant, kind of modern day fairy tales. This is the first story in that collection, which you can't get any more, and I will be illustrating more of the stories in the future.

This zine is quarter sized, 48 pages with colour illustrations, eco friendly brown card cover.
The first limited edition has a silver paper cover. You can still get these off Elizabeth. See like below.

Buy off me here or you can get them from her at
where you can pick up 398#11 which has has a sweet office romance story and a really funny interview with her parents.
Below is the first paragraph from the story. I was hooked straight away.

"There once was a boy who owned a forest, one could even say he was the King of this forest, although no official title was actually given. He was simply the boy who owned the forest. This forest stretched across from one horizon to the next, full of plum coloured trees that bore silver fruits the size of chubby pigeons. When they would get too heavy for their tree’s branches they would fall to the ground and burst into silver dust that would settle on the ground; so that the entire forest floor was made of sparkling silver dust."
