Striking deep blue with large floral pattern in light blue with green, this dress was made for a larger than average lady.
It puts me in mind of a glamorous 1940's Japanese silken affair.
Perfect with a wrap or smart cardigan for a wedding, with white sandals. Or, for the cooler months team with tights, smart shoes and a little jacket.
Home made for a lucky lady in the 1970's, this frock has an unusual square neck line, built in pleat detail horizontally running across the front, short cap sleeves and an elasticated waist. Perfect pulled in with a skinny or thick belt for a real hourglass shape.
Dress is an over the head affair with no zips or buttons. A dream to put on and wear all day.
The garment is machine washable, although I would recommend a low heat.
Please note that this item was home made - so there is no overlocking and the inside seams are a little frayed. There are also slight imperfections in the fabric, but these do no ruin the overall affect of the garment. Considering the delicate fabric it is made from, I feel it is in excellent condition.
This does not affect the wearing or the durability of the garment.
Measurements are taken flat. Please double for approx size.
