I began by mosaicing the frame in many types of teal green glass, tile, and gold smalti, with different levels and texture. Then Suzanne created this oil pastel, Sun Trees, on paper, inspired by my frame.
The light captured in Suzanne's pastel is awesome, and I love that she was inspired to create something wonderful for the frame. Signed on the reverse.
The wooden frame measures 5x7", painted teal, and the mosaic is grouted in "raven." It has an easel back, with a metal tab if you wish to hang it on the wall. It comes glazed, but in order to capture the artwork without glare, the glass is not included in these photos.
