ABOUT OUR BUBBLE BOMBS:
We have had inquiries about the amount of bubbles one of our small moisturizing bubble bombs will produce. We made a short YouTube video that shows our tub, at home, filling up after dropping a bubble bomb into the tub...No tricks, but our tip for producing copious amounts of bubbles like this, is to use your hand held shower nozzle, , WHILE THE TUB IS FILLING, on it's most forceful spray setting, aim it just above the water's surface, and watch as an explosion of bubbles fills your tub! We also timed how long the bubbles lasted and we got anywhere from 15-30 minutes (30 minutes for one of us, and 15 for the other), we think the time hinges on how much the water is agitated after entering the tub, since this could deflate the bubbles once formed. Hope this answers any questions you might have =0)
We don't use harsh SLS as a foaming agent, but instead use the natural alternative. SLSa is derived from coconut and palm oils; a safe, skin-friendly surfactant (foaming agent) that is beneficial for both skin and hair. The citric acid and sodium bicarbonate (baking soda) we use are combined to create the fizzing action of our bubble bombs, and acts as a water softener/conditioner. Also included is potassium bitartrate, a powder, resulting from the fermentation of grape juice . Its purpose in our bubble bombs is to help stabilize the bubbles in your tub and make them last longer. Cocoa butter has been called the ultimate moisturizer, and has been used to keep skin soft and supple for centuries. When applied topically, to the skin, it creates a barrier between it and the environment, and also helps to retain moisture.
THINGS YOU SHOULD KNOW:
Each bath bomb comes shrink wrapped in a clear bag with coordinating curly ribbon, and a LongLeafSoaps tag, showing the ingredients.
Not to be confused with bubble bath...
To use our moisturizing bubble bombs, simply drop the whole bubble bomb into your bath water, or hold under the full stream of water, and watch the magic begin as bubbles appear on the surface of your bath water. As the bubble bomb fizzes and dissolves, it will release an amazing fragrance, and skin-softening cocoa butter into the water. To make even more bubbles, use your hand held shower, on its strongest setting, spraying it into the tub of water! Use extra care while entering and exiting the tub, as it can become a little slippery.
Be aware that we may use glitter, micas, and/or cupcake sprinkles in our bath bomb's to enhance the cuteness factor! Have fun, and a nice relaxing soak, using our Moisturizing Bubble Bombs!
