This Pendant was made out of an Iron Meteorite named Muonionalusta, from Sweden. It was first found in 1906 but this piece was found between 2006-2008. The sides have been polished to give it a unique look.
Muonionalusta meteorite has a spectacular etch pattern. This meteorite is rarely found on the meteorite market. The strewn field is within the Arctic Circle, making the search very difficult. In the past several years hundreds of kilograms have been recovered. Muonionalusta is classified as a fine Octahedrite IVA, Iron Meteorite.
The bail is made out of Argentium silver. Argentium Silver is highly tarnish-resistant and contains more germanium than traditional alloys.
