The top is a slab of poplar with a "live edge" and can be done in any other type of wood. We can also make it with straight, elliptical, or curved edges.
This table is made to order in my shop in Boulder, CO. You are welcome to choose from a variety of woods. The table in these photos is made from balsam poplar with walnut stripes on the base. Other woods that are available are maple (very light tan, some nice peachy colors), walnut (dark wood), locust (orangey/red, exciting), elm (light brown/honey), beetle-kill pine (light tan with grays) and others as well. The wood we use happens to be very SUSTAINABLE. It comes from routine tree work in Colorado's urban areas and is never logged. The size is also variable. The table shown is 31"W x 76"L x 30"T, but we can make tables from 4-14 ft long.
We spend hours hand rubbing the oil finish on this table. We build it up to a nice sheen that looks like polished wood, not plastic, and that protects it for many many years. Please send me a convo if you have any questions!
