This is one of those things I remember always seeing in my Grandmother's kitchen as a kd. When I saw it at a recent estate sale near Dallas Texas I had to get it for you. This is a pattern called King Corn made by the Shawnee pottery Co. back in 1946. This one has the U.S.A. mark that shows it to be one of the earlier pieces before they add Shawnee.
It is in great condition with no chips, no cracks and no repairs. I include a photo of the inside to show ther are no inside the rim chips like you usually find. Also the lid knob has no chips or reglues which is often found. There are a few age marks along the inside rim, but sometimes a little bleach can remidy this. It measures 5 1/2" with the lid on. The book value on this item is $50.00 to $60.00 but I price much lower.
