Inscription reads: "W. Beech 1918" and "'Tis Love not creeds, that from a low condition, leads mankind up to heights supremely grand and oh! that the world could see...and understand"
For your consideration are two miniature, leather bound books of poetry by Ella Wheeler Wilcox published by Leopold B. Hill, London. Once owned by Stanley and Winnie Beech of Toronto, they were avid readers of poetry and had a sweet collection of these miniature books of poetry which I can imagine them together, out to picnic in the park, and reading to one another from their favorite poems, pick a flower to hold their place.
That flower, now pressed with time, still remains as bookmark and sentimentalist that I am, will remain thus while in my possession! Measuring a diminutive 3.5" tall and 2.5" wide these are suede covered books in very good condition. With gilt fore edging and 92-96 pages per tome, these are just too sweet to believe! No foxing, crazing or missing pages. You get both books.
