An instant collection of vintage Yellowstone Park ephemera -- three postcard view books and one song book!
The songbook is titled "The Songs of the Yellowstone Park Lodges" and was published by the Yellowstone Park Company (Lodge Division). There is no copyright date but judging from the photos it looks to be from the late 1920s or 1930s. The book includes such songs as "The Ranger of the N.P.S." (which is sung to the tune of the Battle Hymn of the Republic), "Old Faithful Girls" and "Underneath the Yellowstone Moon." The back cover has an interesting explanation of "Yellowstone Lingo" (see last photo).
The book is soft cover and measures 5 1/2 inches by 8 1/4 inches. There are creases and edge wear on the cover and the bottom corner of pages 13/14 is torn off.
The postcard view books are all Haynes Yellowstone Park Souvenir Folders -- Series A,B and C. Lots of views of Old Faithful and other park attractions. They are bright and colorful and have fold out scenes of the park printed on linen texture paper. There are 18 views per folder. They are in very good condition with light edge wear.
