My husband's first post doc position was in Canada. We rented a small farm which for me was fabulous. We had a great garden which included some delicious Anise.
When ever I smell or taste Anise, this is where I go. Back to that beautiful, little farm, where the neighbor's horses would wake us up some mornings eating the grass in our front yard because the little Houdinis had gotten through the fence again. Or, the loose roving angry cow, was once more terrorizing the farm dogs in our back yard. I never did quite figure out how to deal with that cow.... It once showed up to an outdoor BBQ we were having with friends, we are not vegetarians. It was awkward... Anise, the flavor where the land is flat and vast and the sky stretches over everything...
These are great, some people say they are a bit like licorice, but I taste old country style Root Beer. Reminds, me of Canada.
All of my lollies are organic pours. So I can not say for sure just how much each one weighs or how large it is. I hand pack everything though and I do my best to give my customers the most for their money. Color may also vary as may shape due to the organic pour and due to all my working materials being natural and organic and unbleached. My lollies are from an old fashioned recipe. They may be a little softer than the ones filled with corn syrup that you find in every shop selling your standard candy variety.
These lollies, contain no animal by products of any kind. They are vegan. They are NOT however sugar free. So if you have an allergy to Anise, or if you are diabetic, DO NOT PURCHASE THESE LOLLIES! They may make you sick. If you are allergic to nuts, DO NOT purchase any edible substance from this shop! Your health is worth more to me than any amount of money. So please, be safe. If you have any questions please ask BEFORE you order. I do not give refunds on food products.
We are still just getting started, so please, keep checking back for new bits of awesome.
