The skein of handspun, hand dyed yarn is one in a series inspired by the Periodic Table of the Elements. It is a nonmetal so the 16th element is one of the few that is a color other than silver in it's pure form. Sulphur, the yarn, has sections of deep orange bamboo viscose and yellow scottish blackface with the occasional spot of magenta sparkle, candy stripes, overtwist and soft spun bit as well. All of these fibers are carded together with a base of romney rescue wool and alpaca from the Homestead Wool and Gift Farm and spun into a highly textured thick and thin sport weight singles.

Yards: 142
Sample WPI: 17
Needle/Hook Sizes: US 3 - 5 or 3.25 - 3.75mm or 3.25mm (D) - 3.5mm (E)
Weight: thick and thin sport
Fibers: romney wool, scottish blackface wool, alpaca, hairy pygora, bamboo viscose, carbonized bamboo, hemp, angora, organic mohair, camel, angelina

My yarns are spun in a smoke-free but cat-friendly home.
I do my best to get accurate photos but colors may vary from one monitor to another.
I recommend hand-washing items made with this yarn.
Please convo me if you have a question or request!
