The pottery bowl is incised on the bottom (photo #5) "EW" and "73" which could be the year made, or the production #. The mark is a mystery to me. You could turn the pot around and the mark would read "EL" and "M3". See photos. I could not locate the maker in either case through research. The mark is etched into the clay. This is a fine piece of vintage art pottery no matter where it was produced.

This hand thrown stoneware bowl is in Very Good Vintage Condition. There are no chips or cracks.The glaze color and design are beautiful.
If you collect pottery pieces and like quality hand thrown rustic stoneware, this bowl will not disappoint you! The proportions are perfect and the opening is smooth and round. It would look wonderful on a fireplace mantle.
